Playing the piano
Learning the piano is not as easy as it seems. Some says," It is soooo easy, just play the keys." They are wrong. It took me 2yrs to get familiarize with the notes and keys in the piano. There are s many notes. Each note consists of different tune.I started learning piano when i was in primary 1. It is hard. some says that if you learn the piano, the rest of the instrments you are learning next would be easier. I agree and don't agree.
1)Why i don't agree is because that other instrument have their own theme. eg. percussion, strings, ect Learning the guitar is how well and fast you stretch your fingers, as you need a different tune at different parts of the song. another eg. is learning the drums. Everyone thinks that you just "any o how" hit the drum. But they are wrong. The drums needs tempo and rhythm. one wrong beat and the song will sound weird.
2)Why I agree is because that learning the piano allowing you to know the notes for the other instruments.Learning piano allows you to learn the organ. They are much like similiar as they both have keyboards. But the organ has different buttons allowing you to sound like different instrument. Eg: Drum, Harp, Gituar, Violin ,Trumpet etc.
Playing the piano allows you to relief stress and clams you down. If you are willing to learn the piano , then good luck to you!!

Memories....T_T
Today was the last day of school(june holidays). But unlike P1 to P5 students, they get to relax and play. But we,study, study and study.Homework homework and homework. As PSLE is around the corner.
After school, I went home and watched a very inspiring story. It is about bonding of teachers and students in anglo chinese school. The students there are a little naughty, they played pranks on each other. But as I wrote, I watched about this show is about after the PSLE.They are planning a gift for their teacher everyday after school. The teacher also made gifts of memory for the students. As one of the students said in chinese(translating),"If you put memories up the wall, a few years later, you will start to remember all the good times you had in primary school."
Unlike P1 to P6, the last day of school is a quite sad day.If you are taking the school bus, it is the last time you will sit in the bus together and talk.Unlike in secondary schools, you are very likely to take the public bus and have no one to talk to.
So let us make this year a very memorious year that we will remember in our lives. And remember.....good luck for your PSLE.....

Oral Picture- Monkey bar
This picture shows a scene at Yu Yang Primary school. It maybe after school as there are students playing outside the school. Personally, I suggest that they should not be playing after school and go back straight home.
Scenario 1- Cause and effect
There is a girl crying out loud lying on the floor with blood is bleeding profusly all over her elbow. I think she might have fallen down from the monkey bar and injured her elbow. The boy who is holding on the monkey bar is shock to see what happened to the girl. There is another elder boy who rush to the scene wanting to help the girl. There is a worry espression on his face.
The girl should take note of her own safety and not fool around on the monkey bar. Personally I feel that what the boy is doing is right. Caring for others show that he has a kind and caring heart. We humans should have a kind and caring heart for others as it is a part and parcel of our life.
Scenario 2- Wrong and consequence
There are two boys kicking a ball to and fro to each other.
In my opinion, what they are doing is wrong. They should had think though where they are playing. Futhermore, if they should be considerate enough to know that where they are playing could cause harm to other people around them. They shold be playing in the school field or at the quadrangle.
If one of the boys hit the ball too hard, it might hit the girl who is crying aloud or other people around their area.
Conclusion
When you are playing in the school or a playground, safety should always come first.

Oral Picture- staircase
This picture dicpics a scene of a staircase. It could be at the school.
Senario 1-Cause and effect, wrong and consequence
At the top right hand corner of the picture, there is a boy running down the staircase. He seems to be in a hurry. The boy accidentely knocked down the teacher beside him, causing the books that the teacher is holding to drop down from the staircase. Below the boy, there is a teacher trying to stop the boy from running. He seems to be holding a cup of hot coffee. There is a worry expression on his face. There are two students, a boy and a girl trying to catch the books that the teacher is holding.
What the boy is doing is wrong. He should not be running down the staircase even though there is something urgent. If the female teacher lost her balance, she might fall down and injured herself. What the boy is doing is very dangerous. He should walk briskly down the staircase and not run as it is very dangerous.
The boy might hit the male teacher causing the hot coffee to slip out of his hand. If the boy is unlucky, the boy might get scald or burned by the hot water.
When the boy hit the female teacher, the some of the books slip out from her arms. The students are helping the female teacher catching the books. What they are doing is right. when someone is in the need of trouble, we should always help one another.
When we are going down a staircase, we should not run down as it is very dangerous.

Composition Question 1
It was a hot afternoon. The sun was shining in the clear blue sky."Tim, did you win any medal in sports day?" I said boastfully. Tim shook his head. " Haha, look at my shiny gold medal,"I said boastfully, boasting my medal in front of Tim's face. Tim and I are neighbours. We were drinking our favourite drink of Coke. Our faces are covered in sweat of perspiration. Together, we both stepped out of the lift at the 7th floor and walked to our unit. When I walked past Tim's house, there was a loud ear piercing crash.
"It's coming from your house," Tim whispered to me. "Be quiet, I am trying to see what is going on," I replyed in a soft voice .I tiped toe and look through the door hole. To my utter horror, I saw Mr.Lee lying on the floor in a pool of blood and Mrs Lin sitting on a chair tied to a rope. There was also a man wearing a black shirt , pants and a mask. The atmosqhere was tense. Extremely tense. I scrutinized his mask and physique closely. There was sense of familarity. Bingo! It was Ah Tong, the most notorious robber in the neighbourhood. He was as fierce as a lion. Wild thoughts started racing though my mind. "What did you see?" Tim asked. We got to go now," I replied ina soft voice.
Suddenly, the door creaked open. It was too late, he saw us. We dashed at breakneck speed down the staircase. I did not turned behind, so as Tim. We made it to the ground floor, but we were still running. Being the best runner in school, my stamina was still high. Tim was behind me still running. I turned my head around, Ah Tong and Tim was not in my sight."Where is Tim? I think he is captured by Ah Tong," I said to myself. My heart skipped a beat, I stood rooted to the ground trembling like a leaf, not knowing what to do. Fear sezied me.
After a while, I regain my consciousness. Gathering up all my courage, i decided to take a risk. A very big risk to save my best friend Tim. I walked slowly to my HDB flat and pushed the lift button. My hands began to sweat. I began nervous. I look though the door hole again, there he was, Tim.Amazingly, he was trying to untie himself and broke free without letting Ah Tong seeing him. Again, gathering every last ounce of courage, I opened the door. Immediately, I ran towards Ah Tong with my hands swinging in the air trying to punch him.
Ah Tong saw it comming and dodge the punch and used his knife to cutmy arms and legs. I was in pain, there was no way I could escape. "Sorry Tim," I said while tears started to flow down my rosy cheeks. Ah Tong started advancing towards me and I knew it was the and of my life. I shut my eyes and waited. One second passed. I waited. Two second passed. i waited and waited for my death.Three seconds passed.. Then, there was a scuffle and a loud scream. I opened my eyes immediately.
To my utter horror, I saw Tim lying motionless on the floor. The knife was planted on his chest and blood started to flow out from his chest. Ah Tong was lying stiffly beside Tim . I ran towards Tim. "I am glad you are alright, best friend,"he muttered between breath. "
"Please don't go, Tim! Please don't die," I begged him with misery filled my heart. Tears started to flow out uncontrollably. Tim gave me a weak smile and closed his eyes. The sound of sirens filled the air as the police cars and ambulance to a halt downstairs My HDB flat. Soon, the policemen reached Tim's house. One of them untied Mrs Lin,she was crying her heart out. The paramedics brought Mr. Lee , Tim and me to the ambulance.
I would never forget how Tim risked his life to safe me. Tim would rather sacrifice his life for me than to sit there and watch me die. Thank you, best friend!

A very tirring day at sports day
Time has pass very quickly, day by day has passed...including sports day. Speaking about sports day, let me tell you what I had experince in sports day.
In sports day, I am the 'refreshment' guy. I am suppose to serve food and refreshment for all the parents, staff, ect I am not competing in sports day as I was not selected.(Last year I was, didn't won a medal)It was a very very tirring day for me.When we reached the Bedok sports stadium,(changed to Bedok not in Tampines) An old, red, BMW car also has reached the stadium. IN the BMW car, there are lots and lots of muffins and twiggles. We as the refreshment groups are suppose to carry the snacks to a shelter and place them there. It was very heavy to carry the plastic bag containing the snacks. We placed the snacks at the shelter and waited to sing the national anthem. There were lots and lots of mosquito and of course lots and lots of mosquito bites on my legs.It was so irratating.
After we sang the national anthem, I ran to the Milo van and started to serve Milo.At first, I thought it was going to be fun,but it turned out wrong.I went to the Milo van, took a tray and started to serve Milo. There were 8 cups on the tray. After a few mintues, the Milo cups are all gone as the parents eagerly took them away. So,I walked back to the Milo van and "refill" the Milo cups. This time I wanted to try to serve the competiters, walked slowly to the competiters area and started to serve Milo. To my horror, they shouted at me.eg" Eh!Give me Milo leh, Come here!" I was like a mad man, walking briskly towards them and served them Milo. You know what, there was no saying of Thank You.
No manners at all, like those Kopitam uncles, shout there shout here but no Thank You. I was frustrated, so I decided to continue to serve Milo to the Parents, ect. I decided to put 12 cups on my tray now, so that I would not need to walk up and down. It was kinda heavy but I don't mind, because there was a magic word that wanted me to serve them.Thank you. It felt great. The feeling is better than playing computer games.
After serving the 16th time, I was like going to drop dead, my arms are soring , but I must not complain and continued to serve Milo. It was a tough job. After 30 minutes there was an annoucement by Miss Seet. and Mrs Goh to all senior leaders and prefects. It was a complain about lots of children went to the playground , went to a mini mart. So they decided to close the gate for safety purposes as they might go onto the road and get hit by a car. I voluntered myself to guard the gate. Only parents and teachers were allowed to go out of the staduim. I voluntered myself as I was very tired. It was also quite a tirring job. verbally. I must repeat myself like a thousand times telling them not to go out .Some begged me while others just find another route to escape to buy drinks. There is already Milo and still they wanted to buy drinks. They just don't appreciate what they have. FREE MILO CUPS.Appreciate what you have and not ignore it. People in other country have even No Milo, No clean water. They drink cow pee and drity water. I learnt empathy today and I should apply it everyday.BTW, let us continue, it was also quit a fun job to open and cose the gate for the parents and teacher. They called me the 'gate keeper'.
Also one thing they said when I opened the gate for me.'Thank you'. As I typed just now it was a great word to hear. Finally, the sports day are over. I can finally rest in peace. What struck me in my mind in the bus is the quote,' what dosen't kill you, makes you stronger' This is the qoute that Candice said in the Super Kids motivational camp.Which is very true. One more quote that struck me when I was serving Milo, it is' If I can't, then I must'. This quote appeared in my mind when i was serving Milo. I wanted to give up by that time, but when this quote appeared in my mind, I was fully recharge and redy to rumble...My advice is when someone has done something for you, say thank you and not just walk away. As they say,' it is easier to say thank you than to do aprreciating things. If you can't even say the word thank you, what is Empathy to you...???
